Renovations to Westfield’s Senior Center will be unveiled Oct. 18, the culmination of six months of construction, more than a year of planning and the fruition of the long-term vision of former Senior Center Executive Director Tina Gorman.

State Sen. John Velis (D-Westfield) was instrumental in obtaining $100,000 in ARPA funds for the project in 2022, and construction began this past April. Gorman wrote to Mayor Michael McCabe about the center’s needs in 2022..
