(9/26/2025- WWLP) – State Senator John Velis has donated $1,500 to the Massachusetts American Legion to support the Student Trooper Program, enhancing opportunities for young individuals interested in law enforcement.
The donation, made at the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Springfield, will enable three additional young people to participate in the program. The Student Trooper Program has been running for over 35 years, providing teenagers aged 15 to 17 with insights into careers in law enforcement.
