(1/20/2025 -WWLP) – Adaptive players and local celebrities went head to head in the Cammer Cup taking place at the MassMutual Center on Monday.
The CHD hosted a game of sled hockey fundraising for its inclusive recreation and athletics.
Sled hockey is one of the many activities that allows athletes with disabilities to get on the ice and stay active.

Local celebrities tried to keep up with the talented Springfield Thunderbirds Sled Hockey team on the ice, “Hopefully I can not fall over too much because i’m kind of like a weeble.” Other celebrities on the ice, were Senator John Velis of Westfield and Nate Costa, President of the Springfield Thunderbirds.
A portion of Monday’s game will provide gear for those interested in playing the game.
