You should get a test if:
- You develop any symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild
- Or you are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
Free At-Home COVID Tests
- The Biden Administration is offering at-home COVID tests — for free — to every home in the U.S. that orders them
- Order yours early so that you have them when you need them

Insurance Coverage for At-Home Tests
- Insurers are also required to pay for 8 at-home COVID tests per person each month.
- Consumers with private health coverage can buy a test online/in a store, and either get it paid for up front by their health plan, or get reimbursed by filing a claim.
- Make sure to save the receipt for your insurance!
- There is no limit on the number of tests that are covered if they were ordered by a health care provider.

Vaccines
Eligible MA residents can now access COVID-19 vaccine booster shots in accordance with updated guidance from the CDC. Boosters are available near you.

To find a vaccine location near you, you can search at: vaxfinder.mass.gov
Prepare for your appointment
The vaccine is free. Bring your insurance card and an ID with your name if you have them. You can still get the vaccine if you don’t have an ID or insurance.
